Emergency Ministry: RUSAL's Achinsk plant catches fire

KRASNOYARSK, Aug 13 (PRIME) -- The Achinsk alumina plant, a facility of Russian metals producer RUSAL in the Krasnoyarsk Region, caught fire on Thursday, the regional office of Emergency Ministry told PRIME.

"RUSAL Achinsk, the furnishing of the cooler of power unit number 3 is on fire, the area is 280 square (meters). 27 people and seven units of vehicles are extinguishing the fire. 19 people and five vehicles from the Emergency Ministry. According to preliminary data, there are no victims," the official said.

The ministry said that the fire has been already extinguished on 288 square meters.
